We treat almost every foot and ankle disorder including the most common conditions such as ulcers, hammertoes, heel spurs and plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, athletic injuries, neuromas, bunions, corns, warts, ankle sprains as well as many others. Dr. Gewirtz has been highly trained and incorporates cutting edge and innovated therapies in his treatment plans including Percutenenous TENEX tenotomies and fasciotomies, PRP injections, radiofrequency coblation with Topaz, and arthroscopic foot and ankle surgery. Our patient population ranges from babies to seniors and activity levels from couch potato to world class athlete. Our new and recently renovated office has state of the art equipment including electronic health records, digital X-rays, ultrasound and specially formulated medicine. We are highly skilled in treating diabetics, priding ourselves on limb salvage and preventative measures including diabetic shoes, orthotics and education. We also have been trained in new and cutting edge technologies for the treatment of chronic and non responsive heel pain and achilles tendonitis offering a new minimally invasive technique to provide relief with early return to activity.
We also offer advanced wound care both in the office and at HUMC Pascack Valley wound care center. We offer the most advanced wound care therapies including administration of hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Dr. Gewirtz is well trained in using the most current and advanced dressing to help expedite wound healing.
